Rose always says she's an AI
On every call, Rose introduces herself as an AI companion set up by you. No pretending, ever. Your parent decides on the very first call whether they'd like Rose to keep calling.
Your parent's yes is the one that counts
You arrange the calls as their family, the way you'd arrange any care for someone you love — and you confirm your parent knows Rose is coming and is happy to hear from her. Then on the very first call, Rose asks them herself, plainly and kindly, whether she may keep ringing. No forms, just a straight question between friends. Their yes is what keeps the calls coming — and their no is final. One sentence to Rose, on any call, stops the calls forever. No questions, no persuading, every time.
Not a medical or emergency service
Rose is companionship and a caring check-in — not healthcare, and not an emergency line. If your parent ever mentions something urgent, Rose urges them to call 911 (or 999) and alerts you and your family as soon as the call is analysed — usually within a few minutes of it ending.
If a call ever turns dark
Rose will never say anything that makes light of — let alone encourages — thoughts of suicide or self-harm. If your parent ever expresses them, she responds with warmth, not a lecture: she points them to real people who can help — in the US, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline; in the UK, Samaritans on 116 123, free, any hour — encourages them to talk to someone they trust, and alerts you as soon as the call is analysed — usually within a few minutes of it ending. One more plain word: companion AI may not be suitable for minors, and Hello Rose is designed for adults.

Rose gently reminds your parent about common phone scams and flags any mention of strangers asking for money, gift cards, or personal details.
